Seoul Shik Poom Inc. Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Egg In (Samlip) Red Bean Bread

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - March 22, 2011 - Seoul Shik Poom Inc. of Englewood, NJ is recalling its 3 pack/2.82 oz packages of “Red Bean Bread” because they may contain undeclared eggs. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg run the risk of serious allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled “Red Bean Bread” was distributed nationwide through retail stores.

The product comes in 3 pack/2.82 oz, poly bag marked with code # ES1120 and UPC CODES: 8801068132175 on the package and with an expiration date of 08/15/2011, 09/30/2011, and 04/15/2012 stamped on the package.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered by NYSDAM Sampling.

Consumers who have purchased 3 pack/2.82 oz each packages of “Red Bean Bread” and are allergic to egg are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 201-567-7780 ext 140, Monday to Friday between 9:00am to 5:00pm (Eastern Time Zone).
