Juan Sepulveda, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans, will give the keynote address at the 9th Annual Summer Institute of the California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators (CALSA) Thursday, July 22 in Carlsbad, Calif. Sepulveda will discuss issues pertaining to Hispanic students, such as the academic achievement gap, dropout rates, college access, and financial aid.
The CALSA is a professional association that advocates for the continued development and placement of Latino educational leaders who are committed to quality public education. The theme of this year's summer institute is “Surviving in a Time of Crisis II; Successful Strategies to Weather the Storm.”
