Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) Commissioner Lynnae Ruttledge will present the keynote address at the Iowa Rehabilitation Association's Annual Training Conference Friday, Oct. 22 in Des Moines, Iowa. Ruttledge will focus on the importance of partnerships in the effective delivery of vocational rehabilitation services and increasing employment opportunities for individuals with significant disabilities.
The RSA oversees grant programs that help people with physical or mental disabilities obtain employment and live more independently through such supports as counseling, medical services and job training.
The Iowa Rehabilitation Association is a professional association comprised of individuals employed as rehabilitation counselors, rehabilitation evaluators, supervisors, rehabilitation technicians, associates, and educators both in the private and for profit sector. Its members work to eliminate barriers and increase employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. Members also participate in legislative advocacy both on a state and federal level that would impact the lives for persons with disabilities.
