Psoriasis is a common condition. This disorder can affect people of any sex and at any, age but it usually starts between 15 and 35. Psoriasis seems to be an inherited disorder. Doctors think it probably occurs when the body's immune system mistakenly confuse healthy cells for dangerous substances.Skin cells grow deep in the skin and normally rise to the surface about once a month. In people with psoriasis, this process is too fast (about two weeks instead of four) and dead skin cells accumulate on the surface of the skin. It is characterized by scaly, shiny lesions that break out on the erythematous areas of the skin. Although unsightly and irritating, psoriasis is neither painful nor contagious. The most affected are the scalp and hair line, the inside of the joint of the knees and elbows and lower back. The most common symptoms of psoriasis are:
  • One or more small red scaly plaques
  • Inflammation of the joints (psoriatic arthritis)
  • Thick and deformed nails
  • Itch
Psoriasis treatment with Aloe Vera Psoriasis Aloe Vera treatments can remove the lesions and cause a great improvement, but there is no treatment that produces a definitive cure. Mild cases are treated with topical medications such as antibiotics, steroids, lubricants and lotions. However, all these palliative or preventive medications do not always have the desired effect, and in many cases, as in the case of cortisone, have multiple contraindications. The anthraquinones present in Aloe Vera help soothe the itching and stinging of the skin. The crisofanic acid that has the Aloe Vera is also used in the treatment of psoriasis and is present in the gel of the plant naturally. The lignin and other substances that allow the penetration of the components in the three layers of the skin, making its scope more effective by the administration of a topical gel. In cases of psoriasis it is recommended to use Aloe Vera for skin lesions on at least two times per day. After showering with mild soap, spread the Aloe Vera (preferably cold) on the affected area. By way of prevention, to decrease the severity of injuries during periods of stress, you can apply the gel 3 or 4 times per week throughout the body and face daily.Juice intake also enhances blood clearance. This is more effective if they are combined, but the important is the topical soothing and regeneration of the cells.
