Nursing Education Program Now Accepting Applications

Posted May 11 2011 2:06pm

Nursing Education Program Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies is now accepting applications for its Nursing Education program – delivered online through Nursing@Georgetown.  This new program will offer graduates the opportunity to impact the education of future nurses at all levels by becoming educators themselves.  The inaugural cohort will begin in November.

At a time when nursing students in some parts of the country are unable to attend classes because of a lack of nurse educators, there is a heightened need for professionals in the nursing education specialty. This program is designed to improve health care through the professional development of educators in a variety of settings, while incorporating the role of research into the advancement of high quality nursing education.

The program covers three areas:

Interested students must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree to be eligible to apply, along with at least one year of full-time RN clinical experience. For more information on this new program, visit  online.nursing.georgetown.edu or contact 1-877-910-HOYA (4692).
