How to Prevent Critical Illness Yourself - 7 Basic Tips

Posted Sep 20 2008 1:25am 1 Comment

A Healthy Mind In A Healthy BodyHow To Prevent Critical Illness? Did you ever think about this issue? Why does everyone think about getting health insurance and not about how to avoid being ill? Well, the tips we are going to discuss about in this article should be a daily concern for all of You. These are basics. Therefore, please prepare to find out some of the easiest ways to maintain a healthy mind in a healthy body. Free, easy, entertaining and it does not take a lot of time.

Life insurance companies are everywhere. They overwhelm our lives with all kind of great offers and advertising. Well, from the practical view, this is good. A serious illness, such as cancer or heart attack, affects one-in-four women and one-in-five men before retirement age. Critical illness insurance is designed to ease the financial pressures by paying a tax-free lump sum if you become seriously ill or totally disabled. You must normally survive at least one month after becoming critically ill, before the policy will pay out.

Ok. So you can find tons of offers about different kind of policies that companies offer. Anyway, that is not the point of our article. What I am trying to explain to you is that you should never, (NEVER!) wait (even if it is your retirement age) until you become critically ill. There are plenty of things you can do to prevent this. Please stay tuned.

1. Think positive

90% of the people are a) lazy and b) see only the bad part of things (in most cases). How to prevent that? Easy: Think positive! Smile daily. Smile when you wake up in the morning. Even if it is very hard for you, you should realize that there are people on this planet with much more concerns and health problems.

2. Take a daily walk

Even if you have a busy daily schedule, even if you got much work to do, you should not stop thinking about your health. Take a walk every day from 10 to 30 minutes. I recommend doing that early in the morning. Breathe deeply and enjoy accumulating fresh energy.

3. Stay calm and have peace

It has been scientifically proved that 90% of illnesses come from different kinds of neurological related affections. What does this mean? You quarrel much? You have daily conflicts with your boss or colleagues? Why does this happen? Try to understand that getting nervous and hating DOES NOT HELP AT ALL. Try to become a better person. Try the see the good things. Adrenaline rushes in your veins, but still you must remain calm.

4. Love and respect others

The affection we have for all the people who surround us daily will become the affection we get instead. This is so simple, but you have to understand that every action causes a reaction. The way you behave with others may turn against you. Love others as you love yourself. Respect them and they will respect you.

5. Think daily about your health

I mean it, seriously! Most people do not think about maintaining a healthy way of life. Instead, they start thinking about pain when illness comes. What next? You spend great amount of money on different kind of drugs; and again, you do not think about becoming healthier, you think about how fast you can get rid of your pain.

6. Consider what you eat

There are different kinds of energy resources that our body and spirit consumes in order to stay alive and healthy. Food is one of the most important. You should pay great attention to what you eat and drink. Avoid consuming to much meat. Do not consume fat. Eat more fruits or vegetables. Try to settle a limit in consuming alcohol and smoking (it would be great if you did not do it at all)

7. Get ready to learn from others

One of the most dangerous and fierce some enemies each of us has is our own EGO. Do not let yourself fall prey to your random thoughts about your lifetime concerns and things you thought were TRUE. Try to change your way of thinking. Learn from others. Diversify your knowledge. Only in such a manner you will be able to develop your senses and become a better and healthier human being.

If you suffered from a serious illness, you may experience a loss of earnings through being unable to work and may need to change your lifestyle to account for the results of the illness. Many people who suffer a critical illness need to make modifications to their homes and also have their income limited so they need to pay off their liabilities.

Yes, all of us have different jobs, and YES, most of us are very concerned about earning a living and about doing fine. But what happens if you can not work. Your health status does not allow you to work. You become even poorer, not only from the financial, but also from the spiritual point of view.

Please consider these 7 tips. Everyone has the right to have an opinion. These are the basics. Stay with me and search more articles by Peter Rostowski if you would like to advance and find out more easy and simple ways to live a healthy life. Living is an art, the art to live. Do it correctly.
