U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will participate in a press conference call with young people about college affordability and the critical importance of higher education and attaining a degree at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4. The call is part of MTV and the College Board's new "Get Schooled College Affordability Challenge," which aims to increase college completion by making it easier for middle and low-income students to navigate the financial aid process. The challenge calls upon current and aspiring college students to reimagine a simplified financial aid process that reaches students who are unsure whether they can afford college and yet fail to apply for aid.
