U.S. Department of Education Assistant Secretary Brenda Dann-Messier will give remarks at the National FFA Organization (FFA) State President’s conference Wednesday, July 28 at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Whitten Building in Washington, D.C.
Attendees will include adult coordinators, national FFA staff and officers, parents and families, the board of directors of the National Association of Agricultural Educators and more than 100 student ambassadors from across the nation.
Dann-Messier will talk about the key issues and policies that enhance education in America, contribute to civic engagement, and strengthen our economy to develop a competitive workforce.
For the past few years, the Secretary of Education and the Secretary of Agriculture have met with these student leaders to demonstrate cooperation between the two Departments in advancing education and agriculture.
