The U.S. Department of Education's Director of Educational Technology Karen Cator will participate in the plenary session at the State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO) policy conference on Wednesday, August 10 in San Francisco. Cator will discuss strategies for harnessing technology to improve educational attainment. The theme of the conference is "Expansive Aspirations, Vanishing Boundaries, Disruptive Innovations."
SHEEO was created in 1954 to help its members and the states develop and sustain excellent systems of higher education. SHEEO members are responsible for advising governors and legislatures on policies to strengthen higher education.
