Do you mean Deunge Fever? Were you recently out of the country? Costa Rica, Austrailia, Africa?... Usually Deunge Fever occurs in the tropics/sub tropics after being bitten by a bug that draws blood(mainly mosquitos)
This was taken off of a website from google health:
Dengue fever begins with a sudden high fever, often as high as 104 - 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
A flat, red rash may appear over most of the body 2 - 5 days after the fever starts. A second rash, which looks like the
measles, appears later in the disease. Infected people may have increased skin sensitivity and are very uncomfortable.
Other symptoms include:
Headache (especially behind the eyes)
Swollen lymph nodes
I do know, however it shouldn't last too long! The website also said " do not get it confused with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (The symptoms here are worse than the regular Deunge Fever. If your husband has lost feeling in his hand, I would research "Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever.
