Brenda Dann-Messier, assistant secretary for the Office of Vocational and Adult Education, will discuss current national initiatives affecting adult education and career pathways and transitions during her keynote remarks at the Mountain Plains Adult Education Association (MPAEA) Conference on Friday, April 13 in Helena, Mont.
The conference is titled “Implementing Career Pathways in Adult Education.” MPAEA’s mission is to support and promote lifelong learning for members in an eight-state region, which includes Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
As assistant secretary, Dann-Messier leads the Education Department's efforts in adult, career and technical education, as well as community colleges and correctional education.
