Since last November I've been working on getting myself in better physical condition.  First, I started by walking about 2 - 3 miles a day...then in February I started swimming.  I'm up to about 70 laps (1 mile) of mixed freestyle, backstroke and crawl styles four to five times a week.  The swimming has been very difficult for me and I’m working on getting breathing techniques perfected.  This past month I started working out in the gym three times a week with light weights and am doing 30 minutes of high rev riding on the exercise bike.  I’m hoping this will help kick my metabolism into high gear. My goal is to get off the BP and diabetes meds…I was diagnosed with type II this past year.   The ONLY way to do this is to loose weight and improve my core strength. So far I’ve not had a bit of luck loosing weight, but look better and feel great.  My friends that haven’t seen me in a few months all comment on how much weight I’ve lost…but apparently it has just been redistributed.  Any thoughts?
