It is just a few days before the celebration of Christ's birth, and yet I have been burdened this year by the slogan "Jesus is the reason for the season". Truthfully, it is the reason for Christians. But not all of our friends are following the path of Christianity. In fact, many in the "church" are not following the Truth any longer but have chosen false teachings instead. In this my burden for the lost has increased.
If we truly believe that Jesus is the reason for the Christmas season, then it would make sense that we would also have a greater burden to bring others into the light, out of the darkness of their lifestyles. Today, as we prepare for the celebration,
let us enjoy the companionship with friends and family by inviting some of our non-Christian friends to join with us in the external demonstration of our inner joy.
Coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and a few cookies can go along way to extending the hand of Christ through each of us to each other and those who just need encouragement. If you're in the Christian Women Take Root neighborhood, join us for great conversation, encouragement, and a warm cup of your favorite beverage. Friendships and love are as warm as the pot that's always brewing just waiting for YOU at the Coffee House Hope to see you there!
To all my readers, may you have the brightest of seasons in your life. I pray that it be Christ centered and that His light and love fill your every thought. I pray for your peace, love, joy, and all good things and that you will share this incredible gift with the world.
