The protagonist of my novel,
Aberrations, has narcolepsy. I chose to write about the condition because it's not only fascinating and poorly understood, it's also a great metaphor for how we all are, at times, in jeopardy of sleeping through our lives.
If you'd like to learn more about the condition from those who struggle with it daily, please take a look at this great
NY Times link that has just come to my attention. Six men and women talk (literally) about the role narcolepsy plays in their lives.
