Finishing My Thesis and Learning Life Lessons
When I finally finished and turned in my thesis, I thought about what an accomplishment it was and I began thinking towards the future. My ultimate goal is to one day have a health/wellness center devoted to healing those with eating disorders and other issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, and of course borderline personality disorder. This means going back for another degree and more training, which I am actually really excited about!
The Omega Institute Weekend Part 1 and Part 2
My gift to myself (ok, my parents’ gift to me) for finishing my thesis was a trip to New York to attend the Women and Happiness conference held by the Omega Institute. I had a great time, learned from amazing women, and met Kris Carr!!
Thoughts on The Buddha and The Borderline
Reading this book gave me a lot of hope for recovering from BPD and also made me feel like I’m not alone in this world with this disorder. The disorder is the crazy one, not me! Kiera Van Gelder speaks candidly about her experience and it was an unbelievably amazing and comforting read for me.
