The Power of Presence.

Posted Mar 22 2011 2:22pm

In a life coaching session with let’s call him Carl…that’s a name I like to use for confidentiality purposes, we discussed what you can do to go to the next level.

What I mean by the next level is an inner experience. It’s that place of awareness in which you become aware of your personal power. Once you feel it, it has the potential to affect all aspects of your life. You’re able to walk into a room with such presence that almost everyone knows you are there. You walk in freedom with a knowing and sometimes quiet sense of dignity. You feel connected with yourself and everything that is.

How this manifests in the world is that when you speak to another, there is a desire on the listener to catch every word that you have to say and to notice every inflection in your voice…in that brief moment of time there is a connection that transcends thoughts, beliefs, race, gender and all that we think is important. In that moment there is communion that transcends what we normally call communication.

We have a choice to go deeper in our own personal work and to find that deeper level in our own being. It’s begin when you start your day. How you begin your day sets the tone for the day.

Take some time in the morning before you do anything else to sit quietly and meditate and think about what you are grateful for.

There is another aspect of personal power which I’ll discuss in the next blog.

We’ve had some exciting news. We received the following email. We at “Onlineclasses.org”, wanted to let you know that we featured your blog in one of our recent articles on our own blog. (50 Favorite Blogs for Self-Improvement Junkies)

That’s it for now Journey On
