Today I’m sharing a favorite suggestion for couples (and homework assignment) from Dr. Laura Berman. When you and your partner greet each other after a day apart, do so with a hello, a little eye contact, and a ten-second kiss. This is not a kiss that leads to the bedroom. It’s the transition point from your job and commute, other people and stress, to ”home” and the love of your life.
The hustle and bustle of the evening may then continue, which if you have kids, you certainly experience. But between walking in the door and finally hitting the sheets, there is this little spark, this little ”I love you”. . .
My husband and I adopted this habit and it has done wonders! May you also enjoy the benefits!
