I have been thinking a lot about gratitude lately. Gratitude is so good for our soul. It keeps us focused on the abundance in our life rather than lack and the more we practice it, the more we find meaning in the little things that happen throughout our days.
In addition to keeping a daily gratitude journal, a useful exercise is to write a note to someone who means a lot to you and who helped you along your journey to becoming the person you are today.
Take a moment to think about who that person is in your life—perhaps a small gesture made on your behalf or a few simple words of advice at just the right time made a lasting impression on you. Or it may be that someone special has consistently provided support and encouragement. Let this person know how much he or she means to you and how you have benefited by his or her goodness. Writing this note will warm your heart as well as the lovely person who receives it. Get started! I’ll do the same.
