Are you tired, depressed, struggling under the burden of your life? Do you keep "trying" to make changes, but you never succeed?
It is time to be "here" in this moment, in this time. Stop trying!!! At least stop trying for the sake of others. Trying is something a human being does on a conscious level. It is hard and is rarely successful. You can no longer try...you have to do! Be and do for the sake of yourself! Not for your H...your children, your friends or extended family...You do this for you and you only. If you don't...you will die from the inside out, as sure as I am sitting here typing this response.
At mid-life many women and men struggle with the burden of their roles in their lives...a conscious decision to reclaim your life is in order... it is in the retraining of your subconsious mind that you will make progress. Be aware of the negative thoughts that are running underneath your thought patterns.
If you have checked out of your marriage/relationship (M/R)...if you have subconsciously divorced yourself from your M/R...then this is what you believe to be true and you will act accordingly. You will NOT be able to regain feelings for your husband or wife. They will continue to aggravate or annoy you...you will only see those things that justify your present feelings about them and your M/R. You are creating rational-lies that are feeding what you believe to be true...and when a belief is set in your mind then it becomes a truth...and this is what your subconsious tells you every time...it is a self-fulfillig prophecy.
Face facts...You are changing. Your life is changing. Your family is changing...Your marriage is changing. Your brain doesn't like change...it will do everything that it can to keep you in the comfort zone. Change means the possibility of danger, hurt and pain...the brain knows what it needs to do to keep you out of danger...even if it means making you ill, depressed, fall back in to unhealthy habits, feel empty, fantasize...escape...whatever your pattern. The thing to do is to recognize it and do something about it...not try...do!
As I said before...all of this starts with you. Start with postive thoughts about you...affirmations. I would like you to take an affirmation challenge. For the next 21 days, I want each one of you to write down affirmations about yourself...make as many copies of this list as you can. Post them in your kitchen, on your bathroom mirror, put them in your car, carry them around in your pocket...memorize them. Start your day with them and end your day with them...repeat them over and over again to yourself. Claim them...stand on them...lean on them...say them, even if you don't beleive them at this moment. By doing this every day you will be changing your mindset...you are reprogramming the subconsious mind...before you know it you will consciously act and think differently about yourself. This has been the most dramtic thing I have ever done for myself...it works every time....but you have to do it...not try...do.
Affirmations rarely have a negative within them and are stated in present tense.
Here is a list that I have:
I am confident, determined and commited.
I am motivated, intuitive and empowered.
I make sound decisions.
I am creating a life legacy that I am proud.
I am worthy, significant and successful.
I am refined, timeless and elegant.
I am beautiful inside and out.
I deserve my own time to grow and become my best self.
I am peaceful, contented and calm.
I am centered, assured and inpired.
I am strong and have a sense of purpose.
I am happy and living an abundant life.
I deserve respect.
I live each day with Passion and purpose.
I am a success in all that I do.
I respect my abilities and I always fulfill my potential.
I achieve my goals and dreams
I am organized, pro-active, disciplined, talented, innovative and intelligent person applying sound life practices right now.
I deserve happiness, abundance and prosperity.
I am very focused and persistent.
I am healthy, vibrant and excited about my life and my future.
I am detemined.
Day by day, in every way, I am better and better.
These are just a few of the possible affirmations you can use. It doesn't matter if you feel these things right now...at first, you are just retraining your brain to think differently. When negative thoughts occur...say to yourself or even out loud...."Stop"...then count 3-2-1 and start saying your affirmations to yourself. It will proably feel uncomfortable at first...just press on through it. Add affirmations or delete one's that won't serve you.
You can even use these affirmations as a meditation. Sit in a quiet room with no distractions. Take two deep cleansing breathes. Slowly start repeating your affirmations to yourself. If your mind starts to wander, take another cleansing breathe and start again. This takes practice, so don't be discouraged if you can't do it the first few times that you try.
This actually is the the first excercise in the upcoming Mindset for Life Group Study I am going to be holding next month at my forum
