I Think I’ll Go to Boston….But More Like Dropkick Murphys

Wow, the week has certainly flown by without any school work to do. In a week from today, I will be a college graduate and that is just way too hard to believe. A few days after that I’ll be six months symptom-free, and to me that’s my biggest accomplishment yet.
Oh yeah, you’re probably wondering about the title of this post. I’M MOVING TO BOSTON!!! Well, Massachusetts if I can find a place to live. The boyfriend is from Mass and this is something we have talked about for several years. We have always had a long distance relationship (minus our time in Greece) and it went a little something like this: we got back from Greece and he went to MA and I was in CO for a few weeks, then I went to PA for school, he came to visit, then went to Italy to study abroad again, he came back and visited me in CO, then I went to France and was gone the whole summer, and then I came back and he was in MA and I was in PA and then I had to go to inpatient and things got difficult for the both of us at that point. Bottom line is, the closest we’ve ever been in proximity is a few states away and right now I have no commitments holding me in Pennsylvania. I love Boston and although I won’t be living in Boston proper, this is the right decision for me both personally and professionally (there are many opportunities for me in Boston) and I am really excited about this. Needless to say, I think the boyfriend is too We aren’t going to be living together, we just want to see how our relationship goes when we can you know, see each other on a regular basis and not with months in between visits.
So yay! I’m excited and also very nervous because I have nowhere to live, no one to room with (and housing up there is even more expensive than it is here!), and of course there’s the whole thing about me graduating, finding a job, etc. This is a positive thing for me because I need a fresh start away from Colorado and away from Philly, and I am feeling very motivated about this new chapter in my life. If anyone has housing suggestions for North Shore or South Shore near Boston, please, please contact me!!
Now moving on to something a little different. Every Saturday I’m going to do a post called “Saturday Spotlight” featuring favorite products of mine. Many of these will be beauty products because I’m a huge “product person” and beauty product hoarder. I’ve tried so many products, worked in a spa multiple times, done research, gone through training through the spa I worked at, and my friends and family often come to me for advice on beauty dilemmas/skin care/makeup, etc. Some of these products will just be “feel good” things that I like so it could also include yoga gear, healthy living stuff (e.g. cool water bottles), books, etc. I’ll be back later today to share the first spotlight so I hope you’ll come back to check it out!
