Weight loss during the Holiday season? Well… there’s reason to the madness. I’ll explain later. For now, you should know that Kimkins really IS the Atkins diet on steroids. If you’re a potato and pasta kind of person, you may want to skip this entry entirely. This will only be practical for people who happily eat meat (or at least fish).
So what is Kimkins? Kimmer, the founder of Kimkins, managed to drop a heck of a lot of fat with her own turbo-charged version of Atkins, and voila, her new diet club was born.
Meanwhile, she sold it but it has pretty much maintained its old look and feel of camaraderie and plenty of Q&A and supprt/cheering. And Kimmer has stayed on in an advisory role.
It’s claim to fame is that its members are almost crazy fast with their weight loss, just like Kimmer was. Just the thing to do to get into my holiday clothes. Or in any case, this year, I plan to get serious about my occasionally practiced contrarian tendencies, which are that I’m accelerating my weight loss efforts just when the world is getting especially tempting.
So let’s get to the timing… Well, to me this seems like it’ll bring a double loss/win. Just for a math example, if someone were to lose 20 pounds instead of adding 10 pounds minimum to her “normal” weight, she’ll actually achieve a net loss of 30 pounds between the 20 lost and 10 not gained.

And whether or not you are ready to get going with it before the presents appear under the tree, you may want to join now if it interests you at all.
Why? Because they’ll be starting to charge by the month really soon, and then it’ll be $29/month, month after month etc. As it is, the price you see is good for a lifetime membership! So you can get ongoing support, and/or go back anytime you want some extra reinforcement, for years to come.
And losing weight and keeping it off can be a lifetime quest, so having Kimkins in your corner forever might be just the ticket. I suppose a membership might even work as a Christmas present for the right person… (though be careful there).
Just remember the math. No need to add more pounds before New Year’s Day.
