Clock Stopped, Think Bigger

Posted Jul 11 2010 2:07pm

God is free from the boundaries of time and space unlike human consciousness living within moments of time. Therefore, He envelops the past, present, and future as well as all alternate human decisions and their corresponding consequences as combined information fused together, through the eyes of eternity.

Purpose Ponderings Being all-knowing (omniscience) is one of the characteristics of God's immeasurable understanding. His perfect knowledge is beautifully expressed in (Psalms 139). He purposed an intelligent design consistent with His all-knowing and within His perfect character. His eternal purpose embraces everything that comes to pass. His foreknowledge of the entire cosmic course of events is predestined, evident throughout creation, and written on each human life. God knows us more intimately then we know ourselves. His knowing us so intimately gives us a confidence in Him that non-believers cannot touch. He designs, decrees, and declares a predestined purpose for each of us.

I love God and believe He has a plan for my life, I just don't know what it is yet. I seem to be floating in and out of what I thought was my purpose. Is there a way to know for sure when God is leading us toward our real purpose?

"Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan" (Ephesians 1:11NLT).

God provides those who desire it a tangible or objective insight through wisdom, of His revelation, into the true nature of His purpose, and the personal or subjective comprehension of it. Therefore, believers in our own time are able to catch a glimpse of His divine purpose by looking at how God dealt consistently with nations historically. His plan for individuals is also consistent through His imperatives. Determining our purpose is not without endeavor. It remains within our approach to everyday moments and our intimacy with God through seeking and serving Him from the heart. Our predestined purpose becomes clear at the moment God designed to become clear.

If our heart is in tune with God's will our purpose by design gradually unfolds to enlighten us through the guiding of the Holy Spirit. The heart has to process to through life experience, revelation, and desire, in order for faith to pave the way to understanding our destiny.

Patience keeps us faithful through each life experience. Inspiration provides us with revelation through prayer and the Word. Hope leads to a deep desire. All of which is evident through the Holy Spirit enriching the heart that willingly progresses through faith in order to catch sight of God's purpose in the affairs of the world. We are components of this world. The eyes of God are watching over those who seek balance and who do the right think in order to accomplish their purpose. Discovering our destiny is satisfying and fulfilling.

God's Purpose for Us:

  • Be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9)

  • Be complete in Christ (Colossians 1:28)

  • Be open to the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3)

  • Be willing to let the Word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom (Colossians 3:16)

  • Be prepared to conduct yourselves with wisdom (Colossians 4:5)

"You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, Oh Lord, You know it all" (Psalms 139:3-4).

Purpose Ponderings
God searches the hidden moments in our heart, thoughts, and intents. He knows what we will say tomorrow. His arms enfold us stirring a deep understanding of His great love (Psalms 139: 1-6).When we pretend to be someone else other then the person He created us to become we have stopped our internal clock. It is impossible to accomplish our destiny without investigating and understanding God's purpose; nothing is impossible with God.

Our perceptions, responses, and desires internally shift toward new thinking contained within a new mindset when we are willing to exchange our internal fears, our hiding, and dishonesty, for faith through patience, and hope. It is authentic and transcendent to those who lay down their life at the feet of Jesus that He gives power and strength to those who willing search for and claim their God given purpose.

God's plan embraces everything that comes to pass throughout His cosmic course of events. He has written His will on each individual. I challenge you to rest a while, give your soul a chance to catch God's purpose for your life. If your internal clock is stopped, wind it up... Think Bigger.
