Wellness Wednesday- Quick wellness tips

On Wednesday’s I’m going to be featuring wellness tips.
As most of you know, I’m more a visual person.
I think most readers would prefer images, graphics and quick info than having to scroll and scroll through paragraphs and paragraphs of text.
I’ll start you off with this cute graphic and then some quick tips to follow that!


Now for the simple to the point easy to do tips to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle…physically & mentally.

  • Make healthier food choices (this doesn’t meant you can’t have that piece of chocolate, but it does mean don’t eat the whole box of chocolates)
  • Laugh — laughter releases endorphins!
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Be active — do something (anything that gets you moving) for 20+ minutes a day
  • Get outside — take a walk, ride a bike, relax on the beach — just get outside!
  • Give up soda (pop, soft drinks) — they have no nutritional value and lots of sugar (or splenda/nutrasweet-YUCK!), not to mention calories
  • Go meatless for a day (or longer)
  • Try a new fruit or vegetable
  • Drink plenty of water (suggested is 1/2 ounce per pound that you weigh)
  • Don’t eat fast food, processed foods
  • Eat whole natural fresh foods — the closer to natural form the better!
  • Spend time in prayer, meditation daily
  • No matter what, enjoy life!
