Toss medicine the safe way on Take-Back Day

It’s no secret that keeping unused or outdated medications in a house with kids isn’t the best idea. What you might be unsure of? The greenest way to dispose of said drugs. Most meds can’t be returned or donated, and tossing them in the trash or down the toilet can pollute waterways. But this Saturday, you can bring them to local collection site, where the Drug Enforcement Administration will take the pills and syrups off your hands and incinerate them.

National Take-Back Day runs from 10 A.M. - 2 P.M. tomorrow at many police stations, churches, and universities across the country, and is completely anonymous. Learn moreand find a collection site near youat deadiversion.usdoj.gov/takeback/ .
