Think Act Vote t-shirt design competition now open

A celebrity panel, including iconic t-shirt designer Katharine Hamnett, will decide on the best t-shirt to promote the Think Act Vote campaign this April. George Walker urges you to get that creativity flowing for a chance to make your own mark in ethical fashion.
Think Act Vote is a new online campaign that seeks to engage people with politics in the run-up to the election. In an age when many people say they would rather not use their vote because the political parties are “all the same”, Think Act Vote is hoping to remind us of the real power of democracy.
The Think Act Vote website invites you to send in your thoughts, fears and hopes about politics in either the format of a song, video or artwork. The collected works will be brought together to create an anthology. If you’re more into the fashion side of things, the new t-shirt competition brings together the importance of both ethical fashion and the individual’s right to vote here in the UK.
The winning t-shirt design will be printed on Earth Positive Climate Neutral T-shirts for both men and women. These t-shirts are certified organic with close attention paid to where and how the t-shirts are made. What will be on the t-shirts, however, is up to you!
The design contest is open until March 7th 2010, with the t-shirts going on sale up until the election from the launch party in April. The designs must include the words ‘Think Act Vote’ but that’s the only real design stipulations. For further details visit the Think Act Vote website at Thinkactvote.org.
