The Gardening Nude 2009 Eco-Blogging Green Adventure in Mexico

Fantastic news readers – I am going to Mexico on a cool green eco-adventure and I’m taking you with me to experience all the fun! WOOT!
In just a few days my family and I will be taking the eco-journey of a lifetime into the jungles, caves, and ocean of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. I will be blogging every day for fourteen days (sometimes more than once per day) all about the trip using greening and eco-nature information as a tool to educate readers about environmental concerns in the world.
Here is a photo of me with a monkey I met in Mexico last year – say hello to my little friend! When I discovered the incredible natural environment of the Yucatan Peninsula, just North of Belize in Mexico, I wanted to bring the story to my readers.
We will be going to jungles, beaches, and protected eco-parks throughout the Yucatan Peninsula area to experience some really incredible things in nature. As you can see by the map below, the Yucatan Peninsula is located on the far right-hand side of Mexico. It juts up into the Gulf of Mexico and is favored with tropical
oceans and exotic jungle. The red “pushpin” marks the general area near where we will be staying – our travels will stretch from Cancun to Playa Del Carmen.
I am very excited about the itinerary which includes eco-adventures like jungle zip-lining, snorkeling, cave spelunking, and visiting a mangrove jungle. I will also be searching out green lifestyle stories all along the way to share with you. Maybe I can inspire you to live greener while experiencing the natural world – I can not wait to report on all the action. We are going to have an adventure!
There will be big reader contests too – I will announce all the details for the contests tomorrow and Thursday - so follow along from March 20 to April 5, 2009 for your chance to win some cool prizes on the Gardening Nude Blog!
