Stirring the Wild

Posted Apr 20 2014 10:32am

Hi, all. Am going wild* with my fiction over here ( see here for the post about that --yeah, I know I'm not supposed to be posting during this sabbatical, but you know how I am). Still riding my bike. My gardens are growing like mad. Winding down on my street photography project .

If you're interested, here's my new website . Simple.

It looks like FoodShed Planet (as in, this blog) is going to relaunch on August 1 as a photo-only showcase about our changing world. I was thinking about ending it, but it (and you) are just too darn close to my heart.

Regarding the kinds of articles you're used to finding here (farm visits, movie and book reviews, interviews of CEOs of eco-friendly companies, deep dives into my "passion project" topics , and more), if I can't sell it, I'm not going to tell it. So I'll be pitching a pile of stories with the hopes of placing some of them with existing and emerging media outlets, once my sabbatical is done. Something like four major publications and sites for which I wrote folded in the past few years**. It's tough out there, so I'm not making any promises. Am just trusting the journey (as always).

Miss you!

Learning as I grow,

* Don't even ask to see the short story named A Plot in the Garden. Dark stuff!
** So happy to see a new publication named Atlanta Velo City Magazine doing well. My latest published article is on pages 5-6. It's a bikey article!
eclectic food-for-thought for a changing world
