Proof That Dogs Are People Too...Well You Know What I Mean

Posted Aug 13 2013 12:00am

Dogs Are Just Little Souls Trapped Inside Bodies That Can't Use Words to Speak

I have been on a journey over the last 20 years. I lived with someone who was not always nice to animals and I learned to follow in those footsteps to protect my heart and not be made fun of. I am fighting against that now and am opening up my heart in so many ways and one way is by getting back in touch with my love for animals.

I grew up with numerous cats and two German Shepherds and I loved them all so dearly. They were always by my side whenever I needed them and always there to listen when I had a broken heart or just needed a friend to listen. It was always so great to wrap my arms around Dude and Deke and "feel" their hug right back.

My Ace protects us like he is a dog 10 times his size

I couldn't even hurt a spider when I was a kid and although I have tried to prove that I am tough and don't care over the last 20 years, I am getting back in touch with my soul and still to this day will put spiders outside before I will as much as kill them.

The other day the very person who I tried so hard to impress with my lack of care for animals showed me this video with tears in his eyes. To me it proves that animals, and even people who may have learned themselves while growing up to act heartless to protect themselves from whatever demons were taunting them, are in fact not soulless creatures, but creatures full of love and understanding.

So What Does This Have to Do With Living Green?

Hell I don't know what all of this has to do with living green other than it serves as a reminder that we must not forget to live our lives in ways that protects not only humans, but our most amazing animals as well.  I have a little Chi-Poo now named Ace and I love him with all of my heart. He is my heart and loves and protects my three girls as if he were a 40 pound Bull Dog instead of the 6 pounds of ferociousness he is.

We all may have one exterior the world sees, but inside we are all just beautiful souls trying to find and give love...and live life like someone left the gate open.
