Genius, absolute genius. As you may have guessed already from the photo, the USBCell is a brilliant invention that takes a standard AA Ni-MH (rechargable) battery and allows it to 'uncap' and charge via USB. Yes, it's time to say goodbye to those space-consuming, arguably inefficient and definitely annoying charging stations used to top up rechargable batteries. As the USBCell's got a USB stick built-in, you can just plug it into any ol' laptop, Xbox 360 and top up. This is all great, green stuff, but you pay a premium for the cutting edge tech: £13 for a pair, versus £4 for a standard pair of AA rechargables. USB Cell promises to expand and shortly cover all the other battery sizes, too.
