PETA says it conducted an investigation into a farm where pigs were slaughtered for the product, and there were many acts of cruelty going on. So they sent a letter to Victorino addressing what they saw, and you can read it here.
I definitely support what PETA represents, but just as they want to protect the rights of animals, they should also respect the human right to free speech.
Especially when Victorino is part of a team going to the World Series!
Who would have guessed that after I wrote a post about peta2 and their intern CutoutDissection.com that I would come across another PETA story?
Well, this one has to do with Philadelphia Phillies centerfielder Shane Victorino and his love for the canned meat product Spam.
Looks like PETA didn’t like Victorino declaring his love for Spam musubi, which is very popular in his native Hawaii. ( Read all about the history of Spam musubi here )
