No Recession for Organics

Posted Aug 24 2008 2:44pm

Shopping_cart_istock_000001520269xs Americans are tightening budgets, but they're not giving up organic food. A study released by the Natural Marketing Institute and The Nielsen Company confirms that green consumers continue to buy organic, natural, or environmentally-friendly products, even at higher prices. Some organic companies aren't just holding steady, they're thriving. Ian's Natural Foods experiences 45 percent growth annually and Nature's Path Foods has already grown 30 percent this year.
