new green (but blue!) resource
Posted Sep 12 2008 4:33am
My friend, Laura, sent me a tip about a cool new website full of great eco-information. The site is called
blue egg
.
It is still in beta, but already has lots of great stuff. I love the "Eco Genius Challenge" on the home page:
"QUESTION: When fresh local produce is unavailable, what is the most environmentally friendly alternative? "
.
And this next one was so apropos, since I was debating this very question at the store the other day:
"Got milk - in carton or jug?
Which milk container is better for the environment: plastic or paperboard?"
Thank goodness I made the right choice!
