Natural Solution To Flees?

Posted by sheryl w.

My husband is terribly allergic to flees and they keep biting him. The horrible sprays work for a while, but they are so full of chemicals that we don't want to use them much. Does anyone know of some natural ways to get rid of flees?

Natural solutions to icky fleas. Organic eucalyptus oil is supposed to be an effective natural insect repellant. Sentry Natural Defense is a good, all-natural flea killer that you can find at most pet stores, too.
Get carpet salts. You can go to the pet store and buy a big container of special salts to put on the carpet. You rub the salt in and then vacuum it up so it does not show. This will kill the fleas in the carpet. It lasts for a while too. I don't remember the brand but you can find it in pet stores. (It's not regular salt.)
Diatomaceous earth. Our dog mananges to bring home flees about once every six months, so we sprinkle the carpets, the dog bed, and the dog with Diatomaceous earth, which seems to work- until the next time
