Measuring a forest breath

Thanks for posting this article! Regarding the earth's forest, we, unfortunately, regularly hear about deforestation in particular parts of the world such as Brazil's rainforests. However, what most people aren't aware of is the fact that the US has less than 10% of its original forests remaining. Incredibly, over 90% of our country's forests are gone, forever! I was shocked and greatly saddened when I read this many, many years ago.

So, articles such as this one are critical in raising the awareness of the importance of forests everywhere.
