Meet Guy. I developed him a couple of years after I moved to Atlanta from New York City to become the sales promotion manager in the national ad sales department at Turner Broadcasting (before the kids, before the house, before the freelancing, before the gardens). He was just a Guy who made observations about things. He was fun in the office.
Well, turns out, Guy has been living in Disturbia (not a real place but rather a metaphor for lots of places), for, well, a good long time now, and he's going public with some of his observations again. He has one look and one look only--happy-go-lucky with a hint of downright dumbfounded.
I'm just playing around with him, and I thought I'd share occasional Guy-isms with you. He may make a few guest appearances in my book, Leaving Disturbia. Am not yet sure. It's a work-in-progress. Like life.
