Going Once, Going Twice, Going Green

Christie’s auction house has partnered with NBC Universal for its first-ever “green auction,” which will take place on April 22the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Native Energy will provide carbon offsets for the eventthe proceeds of which will be divided among four environmental organizations: Conservation InternationalOceanathe Natural Resources Defense Counciland the Central Park Conservancy. 

The live auction in New York City will feature pieces by well-known artists such as Keith Tyson and Maya Linplus appearances from A-list celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprioEd Nortonand Salma Hayek.

The online auction is selling celebrity experiencesincluding a day on the set of the upcoming Hugh Jackman film or a lunch date with Vera Wang.
