Health knowledge made personal
 Remember these kids? My friends Bob, David, Rod and I helped them build a garden . They're the Fugees, and there are 136 of them now (including a class of girls) in the only privately-funded school dedicated to refugee children-of-war in the United States, located in Clarkston, Georgia, 13 miles from where I live (see 13 Miles and a World Away ). They have one 14-passenger bus, which someone donated to them six years ago. Here's how that happened: When asked what they needed most (besides everything) by that potential donor, one boy said out loud, "We need a bus." Their founder and leader, Luma Mufleh , was sort of embarrassed that he would ask for something so big, but a week later when the woman called and said she would donate a brand new bus, Luma learned an important lesson: You ask for what you need. And as for all of us, I wonder, what is it we really need? Think about it. Ask for it. And see what happens.
