Downshifting: a grandiose name for the extremely sensible idea of spending less cash on porcelain mantlepiece ornaments so you can work less. I mention it because this week is, once again, National Downshifting Week. It's run by Tracey Smith (right in the pic), who's up for an ITV Eco-Hero Award and was interviewed in The Guardian a couple of days back. By spending less, of course, you also handily use less energy and produce less pollution.
