I'm one busy Bamboo Geek. I can tell that the sunny Winter days and those teasing high 60 degree temperatures are getting folks in the Sacramento region thinking about gardening. Why? My phone is ringing off the hook and who can't be inspired by the birds singing in the trees and the leaves emerging from the trees! I can't help to get excited as I prepare plant orders and begin to propagate, restock and prepare for my favorite season of the year.
The way I have kicked off the Spring season for the past few years for my business is to open up my bamboo garden for one day for my Spring Bamboo Open House. I'm doing it again this year and consider yourself, your friends and family invited. Here are all the details:
Who & What: Spring Bamboo Open House. Lots of bamboo plants to look at and buy. Plenty of expert advice. And a tour of my little piece of heaven - a bamboo garden in the middle of suburbia. All are invited.
Jim Lombard of Maplestone Garden will also be there selling his propagated Japanese Maples grown right here in Rocklin. Jim is a family friend and takes alot of pride in his propagation of beautiful Japanese Maples.
David Chesney of Chesney Studios will also be there showing off his nature-inspired art. We recently purchased a beautiful Koi art piece from David and his work is beautiful.
When: Saturday, April 9, 2011. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Mad Man Bamboo - 5719 Jersey Drive, Rocklin, CA 95765
