The best way to get involved in this societal shift towards green living is to arm yourself with knowledge. Her are just 10 simple ideas that you can do to live more green:Reduce Water Consumption: when brushing your teeth don’t let the water run - turning the tap off when you brush your teeth can save up to 9 liters of water… that’s a whole lot of water saved every morning and night!Use a Coffee Thermos: give yourself a bit of extra time in the morning to make a fresh pot of your favorite blend, and fill up your coffee thermos to take to work. Using a reusable coffee thermos will cut down on waste in the landfill; preserve trees, water and energy. Just think of the thousands of coffee’s ordered across North America every day, that’s a lot of waste!Take the Bus or Carpool: did you know that an average midsize vehicle driven 20,000 km produces about 5 tonnes of carbon dioxide (Environment Canada n.d.c)? By taking the bus or carpooling with fellow employees can drastically reduce the amount of harmful chemicals being released into our atmosphere.
