Check out the Executive Women's Golf Association. Fun, supportive group - that's what I joined when I was ready to start playing more. They hold a number of differnt types of events, including nine-hole events for those who are just getting started in golf or don't have much time. www.ewga.com is the national website and www.ewga-sfbac.org is the San Francisco Bay Area chapter.

Hi there - I recently started playing golf and have enjoyed meeting up with friends at driving ranges and practicing my swing, but now I want to go out and attempt the links with others! I have been out on a golf course, but would like to meet up with people for a fun foursome, while learning to be a better golfer (I convinced my family that this is the real deal, so now I have a nice set of clubs I *must* learn to play properly!). I'm willing to hit up golf courses or even driving ranges (to practice) in and around San Francisco!
