I am an 31 yr old artist dealing with the aftermath of Eating Disorder, Depression and Anxiety. I say I am recovered but, of course, I still struggle...Through art, I work out many of the problems, nightmares, hopes and fears i see inside of me and in this uncertain world. My icon is a crop of one of my paintings... my art is what holds me together, like A Heart Tied With String..there is more here http://stellarscar.blogspot.com/.

I am a woman with a story, a voice, and a commitment. I am dedicated to helping others in the best way I know how: my writing. Writing helped me on my way to recovery and I have a sincere passion to be, at the very least, an understanding voice amid the pain of eating disorders and all that they bring. I've never been happier, so I know that health--mental, physical, and emotional--is possible....

Angela E. Gambrel

Midland, Michigan
I am a 45-year-old woman on a journey of recovery from anorexia. I also am: a writer, a graduate student (finally got there!), a wife and mom to my beautiful cat, Aliena, and a very curious person! I write about my recovery from the perspective of someone who developed an eating disorder later in life - at age 41. My blog is at angelaelackey.blogspot.com
