i woke up proufoundly deaf at the age of 8. i didnt know how til i was 19 when i found out it was from a mitochondrial  condition which means my energy genes dont work (makes me tired) and a it affects me in some weys.

 i had a cochlear implant at the age of 9 & i loved hearing again! Sadley i lost the cochlear implant in my right ear when i was 15 but i was re-implanted in my left ear and still enjoying hearing as usual!!

 i nearly died last yr because of my mitochondrial condition when i was given a PEG  which stands for percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy and i caught pneumonia
and septicemia and was give 24 hours to live at one point. i spend a total of 7 weeks in hsopital  6 of them in intesneive care.

 I got better and am feeling good at the moment!
