Is Huntington's Chorea more likely to pass from father to children more easily or is there no truth to this story and Women leav

Posted by phoenixdreamangel

I've heard that it is possible that a Father's more likely to pass on to his daughters or even son then a mother when it comes to this disease. My mother has it, and I want to know if mother to daughter transmissions are less likely then father to daughter?

hi whilst i can not anwser your question i can tell you what i know my partner has just been told he has huntington's and he was told there is a 50% chance that he passed the gene on to his daughter. its a sad thought. but i think your best bet is to ask a nero doctor (brain doctor sorry not the best speller). but i think its a bood idea just to get tests done because you can never be to careful.

i hope i helped a little
