why is my penis swollen

my penis is swollen on the right side and on top ,it is not hard to the touch but very soft and tissuey i do alot of masterbation and i like to use butter for luberacation i was just wandering if i have injuried myself of it was an afect of use butter for lube and will it corect itself if i stop masterbating for a while,thank you for your input
