what is the cause for atrophy in my leg

i got atrophy in my left in yr 2000. i worked as a housekeeper in hotels for yrs. i never got injured or anything . i just ended up with atrophy, i was wondering what could of cause it. i have numbness and coldchils. so if you could try to answer my guestion.  im  58yrs old.  thank you mary
