What is causing my heart to burn. It's only in the area of my heart.

Over the last three weeks I've been getting these minor pains around my heart. They feel like  burning sensation and last on-and-off for a few minutes. I don't think it's heart burn because it is not my chest or esophagus. It is literally my heart area. Any help would be appreciated?
