what could be causing pain in my lower left stomach area? It is especially painful when I first start to urinate .

I first noticed the pain yesterday and thought that it was gas until today when the pain became worse each time I would start to urinate. As I finish urinating the pain becomes less but is still their. I have had a UTI before and this feels nothing like it. Sex is also very painful.
