Video diary on Hospital abuse of patients with abuse issues

Unfortunately the camera I was making this video with, crashed on me before I could finish it. So I'm looking distracted and perplexed at the end. What I was about to say in the finishing part of my video is that what would be helpful for patients is that instead of medical staff making assumptions about a patient, how about actually asking the patient rather than writing incorrect notes. Because when incorrect information is written it becomes a legal document and cannot be changed without going through an in depth process. This does and can lead to incorrect diagnosis and treatment options for the patient.
If a patient is experiencing snarky remarks, glares, assumptions, being ignored, or misdiagnosed, disbelieved especially when they may have been a recent victim of abuse. A Patient may withdraw, become aggressive, act out or leave. This does hinder recovery and builds a mistrustful and dysfunctional patient/medical professional relationship.
Medical Professionals are not the Judge and Jury. Whether Domestic Violence is historical or recent it does not give another person a right to continue the cycle of abuse upon the person. Please take into consideration also that when someone is being abused they may be out of normal character and do things that are not usually part of their behaviour. It doesnt make them who they are as a person in general.
Remember don't assume, don't lecture, don't condemn, by being antagonistic towards someone who is suffering from abuse, or has been abused then makes you also an abuser. Then how can she or he believe that anywhere is safe. Sphere: Related Content
