When I went in to have it checked a few days after it happened, the dr wouldn't do x-rays because I am pregnant, but he looked it over and said it should be healed in a month. It's been a month and the swelling is gone and I can walk on it with almost no pain, but the lump as I mentioned is still there and it hurts if I touch it. I still cannot turn my foot inwards without pain (for example, I can't sit Indian style) or wear any kind of heeled shoe. Is this normal? Will it just take longer to heal? I guess my main concern is that maybe this is worse than the dr thought? Should I go back?
i don't believe an x-ray is indicated here, Dr Richard if you follow the Ottowa rules, then the patient being ambulant discredits the use of an x-ray. Your symptoms seem to be off soft tissue origin, as such, an x-ray would be useless. An ultrasound scan, would be beneficial + pose no harm to your unborn child.
